Quran and the Beginning of the Universe

The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to the big bang, the universe was created from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter in all directions. In 1927, Georges LemaƮtre was the first to propose that the universe began with the explosion of a primeval atom. Years later, Edwin Hubble found experimental evidence to help justify LemaƮtre's theory. He found that distant galaxies in every direction are going away from us with speeds proportional to their distance. The theory also predicts the existence of cosmic background radiation (the glow left over from the explosion itself). The Big Bang Theory received its strongest confirmation when this radiation was discovered in 1964 by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson, who later won the Nobel Prize for this discovery.
Until now, the cosmic microwave background, big bang nucleosynthesis, and the observed Hubble expansion of the Universe are considered proof of the big bang theory.
According to the Big Bang, the whole universe was initially one big mass. Then there was a Big Bang [explosion] which resulted in the formation of Galaxies. These then divided to form stars, planets, the sun, the moon, etc. The origin of the universe was unique and the probability of it occurring by chance is zero.
In the Quran, Allah says,
“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of mass), before we clove them asunder? …” 21:30
In 41:53, Allah says,
41:53 In time We will show them Our Signs in the utmost Horizons and within themselves, so that it will become clear to them that this Qur'an is indeed the Truth. Is it not enough for them to know that your Lord is Witness to all things (including this proclamation)?

Islam Contribution to Science World

Astronomy The most precise solar calendar, superior to the Julian, is the Jilali, devised under the supervision of Umar Khayyam. The Quran contains many references to astronomy: "And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming." [Noble Quran 21:33] These references, and the injunctions to learn, inspired the early Muslim scholars to study the heavens. They integrated the earlier works of the Indians, Persians and Greeks into a new synthesis. Ptolemy's Almagest (the title as we know it today is actually Arabic) was translated, studied and criticized. Many new stars were discovered, as we see in their Arabic names - Algol, Deneb, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Aldebaran. Astronomical tables were compiled, among them the Toledan tables, which were used by Copernicus, Tycho Brahe and Kepler...

What Causes Asbestos Cancer

Asbestos cancer is referred to as such because development of mesothelioma is conclusively linked to asbestos exposure. Asbestos is a fibrous mineral that was used for centuries in a number of different industrial capacities and asbestos jobsites. While it was quite useful, unfortunately it was also carcinogenic, leading to mostasbestos products being banned in the late 1970's. Pleural mesothelioma is caused by inhaled asbestos fibers which lodge in the pleura and lung wall. Because they are quite durable, they cannot be broken down by chemical means or expelled by other body functions.

Short Descripton About Mesothelioma Diagnosis

How do medical professionals diagnose mesothelioma? If you believe that you may have mesothelioma, a qualified medical professional will use a variety of diagnostic tests and methods to confirm the presence of the disease. The first step that mesothelioma doctors will take in evaluating an asbestos related disease is to obtain a full medical history to determine the level and severity of mesothelioma risk factors and presenting mesothelioma symptoms. This interview will consider among other things, where asbestos exposure occurred, the length of exposure and the amount of asbestos that you were exposed to.
